As you may or may not have noticed Small Blue Yonder hit the three year mark! Hard to believe. Many thanks to all of you who’ve been faithfully reading, liking, and sharing. Your appreciation is much appreciated.
As I mentioned on Facebook and Twitter, I need to ease back on the schedule. Real life currently prohibits me from posting on a daily basis. As of Monday, March 14, the schedule will shift to Monday/Wednesday/Friday.
It’s been exhilarating, producing daily comics for three years. It’s also been exhausting. Maybe I’ll return to a daily schedule in the future, who knows. In the meantime, I’ll have a new book coming out soon, and will be appearing at several comic festivals this spring. Small Blue Yonder continues to move ahead! You know. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The day finally came. 1000 Small Blue Yonder comic strips. Whew!! Thanks to everyone who’s been reading, thanks for buying the books, thanks for sharing on Facebook and Twitter. How to celebrate… hmm, how about if I take a break for the first time in over two and a half years? Doesn’t that sound great? I’m eternally grateful to the talented artists who contributed such amazing guest strips. Once that run is done I’ll be back for more of the same. And hopefully different things as well. It needn’t always be one row of three or four panels, right? I want to start making bigger, page-size comics from time to time. Could happen! I’ll be exhibiting at more festivals/cons in 2016, which means there are plans for more books. A new collection? Definitely. 32-page Konkorr story? You never know. Hardbound epic about Bear with the Bendy Arms? You never know.
October will be a busy month! I’ll be exhibiting at MICE (The Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo) in Cambridge, MA on October 17 and 18. Then, I’ll be at the Portland Comic Expo in Portland, ME on October 25. Come to either – or both – and say hi! I’ll have books, posters, bookmarks, and a brand new mini comic. Which reminds me, I really need to finish that thing. Here’s a half-page teaser…
